TabTrade.com - Is It Worth Opening an Account
Tab Trade - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
FIX API is there for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the thing you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should be part of your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
